Honour Mack resides, teaches and maintains a studio practice in Portland, Maine. Honour is inspired by all the mysterious aspects of the natural world, especially landscape and light. Born in New York, she migrated to the Northeastern Atlantic coast early in her career. The constant changes in the juxtaposition of land, sea and sky continue to pose important questions in her studio practice. Honour is currently a Professor and Program Chair for the Painting Department at Maine College of Art. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and received a Master’s degree from Yale University School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut.
